1. Do you think when the ACC added the "U" AND Va. Tech they dreamed they would be looking at the possibility of a mega matchup of Ga. Tech v. Wake Forest as their championship game?
2. Duke and Stanford are embarassments to major college football.
3. Texas=JR Ewing. Texas Tech=Cliff Barnes.
4. Tennessee=Roadrunner. South Carolina=Wil E. Coyote.
5. Larry Coker should take a page from Bobby Bowden and make a change at QB. It can't hurt.
6. The Big 12 North does not have a single team good enough to win Conference USA.
7. The PAC 10 isn't "balanced." It's just mediocre.
8. Notre Dame would be the 6th best team in the SEC.
9. Nobody is noticing the season Maryland is quietly putting together.
10. South Carolina-Arkansas will be very entertaining.

who doesn't want to see Wake Forest in the Orange Bowl? I think even with Md, the ACC is just ready for basketball

agree with all but #6. its close but i still think mizzou and nebraska are better that tulsa(the best cusa team). tulsa has a one point win over navy and a 25 point loss to byu in their toughest non-con games, and they will probably run away with cusa. so i'd say the big 12 north makes their cg about as interesting as the cusa cg.

i have noticed maryland. since they have the leaders of their division left on their schedule they control their own destiny to get to the acc cg. but its a tough road. the atlantic division is a toss up. what kills me is that it takes the traditional acc powers being down, the big 12 having a whole division that sucks, and usc losing for the media to acknowledge the sec as the nations toughest conference, and that only comes as a footnote to the osu/mich game.

Living in South Florida, I have no interest in seeing Wake Forest make it to the Orange Bowl.

it's so hard to write sarcasm. Obviously i don't think anyone outside of Winstom-Salem, NC wants to see Wake Forest in the Orange Bowl.. not sure if they even care

When you have William & Mary, Middle Tennessee, Florida International as your out of conference opponents plus the likes in NC state and Virginia its easy to have an impressive record. Gimme a break!

If you really want to know of a team that has salvaged a coaches job, it's Texas A&M(8-1) with home games with OU and Nebraska coming up. They could be 10-1 when they face their rival Texas.

Yourself included, you left em off of your Vol 1, (see #2 in Vol1 post), to which I reminded you.

Actually, the only reason I mentioned Maryland was that I was stunned at the lack of coverage of their game in the Washington Post and the Baltimore Sun.

I grew up in Maryland, and actually they were my fav team until a Bowl game in 1984, when My dad, who was born in TN, cheered heavily for the Vols. That was a huge impression on a 9 year old, and changed favorite teams in the first quater.

We lost that game, but have been die-hard Vol fan eversince. We later moved to TN.

I am still an Oriole, Capitals, & Hoya fan.

Said all that to say this.. Thought I would be the only one on here that regularly reads the Sun.
