Odds at us finishing #1 in recruiting

We need to worry about gettin through this investigation crap before worrying about a #1 class.

#1 class based on what or who? Outside shot on Scout since we have 5 stars on there I believe. Zero shot if according to Rivals IMO.

It probably won't be the end of this recruiting class by any means but I would imagine this news of investigations will make the chances of us pulling a couple of the recruits who are undecided much less likely. I wouldn't count on a #1 class this year.

Guys, I have a sig best with a pesky Gator fanb on another board that we snag the #1 class in 2010. Thoughts?
I don't see that happening. I think we finish top five. If the NCAA investigation and the coaching defections hurt us more than I believe we still likely finish top ten. I can't see anyway we pass UF with them signing Powell, Elam, and the ND decommit whose name escapes me. We would need to sign a lot of four star players and have a few of our guys get another star. I want National Titles though not recruiting titles.

I want to hear more about crunchimus' visions. What about Lemonier, oh prophet? Drink your shine and tell us what you see.

Well, :D
How about the timing of this little investigation.
It's getting curiouser and curiouser.
Me thinks I smell a rat.
It won't matter. We'll have at least a top 10 class!
Don't worry. Once this little witch hunt is done we'll come out even better.
Thanks for the publicity, you back stabbing jerks.
GO VOLS!

It may be done today if I quit browsing the board for a few hours. I've already put about 6 into research and writing it. Here's a snippet:

Notre Dame currently leads for Tennessee target and Nashville resident James Stone. We are still recruiting him hard contrary to some earlier reports. We obviously want to add another pure guard to this class and Stone is a guy that will likely start and end his college career at guard.

Two different people close to James have said that in the end they think he will end up at UT.

It is amazing how much being close to home has a final say. Not saying that is the biggest factor, but it just might end up keeping him here.

No chance...too many defections and more possible, couple that with the supposed allegations swirling about. I think we would have to close with some really big fish, just don't see it happening.
