Ain't gonna happen. While you guys have been whining about RS, he has quietly done his job this year. It's the defense I'm worried about.

Agreed, with a 3rd string quarterback and a patchwork offensive line, the Vols managed to put up more offensive yards in a game since 1997 when Peyton Manning was a senior.

Can't all these "shake up the staff" posts wait at least to see how the SECCG turns out before we start calling for people's heads? Regardless of how aesthetically pleasing it has been to watch - we are 9-2 and the SEC East Champs.

I think the best shake up would be someone new for special teams... or maybe a new line coach? Both lines have been a roller coaster all year. Some games good, some games just plain bad.

Do we just HAVE to fire someone? I hope your boss doesn't feel the same about you or mine about me. Youth, inexperience and injuries have been our achilles heel this year. I think we oughta just be men, suck it up and get over it.

Yeah, just go can the poor guy and send him home to the wife and kids for Christmas. That'll teach him.

No joke. This is getting ridiculous. Maybe the faction that wants to keep rehashing this idea should start a "FireRandySanders.com" site or something.

If, at the start of the season, I had offered anyone on this board a 9-2 season with an SEC East title (and maybe more???), would anyone have been disappointed? What if I then told you that we'd go with 2 freshman QB's, lose both and have to put Clausen in, lose possibly our best player on defense, suffer all year from injuries up front, and STILL be where we are?

I know we all want to be National Champs every year, but come on -- do you really think we underachieved this year? Do you really think we have the best team in the nation and that it was "coaching" that lost games for us? If so, pull yourself out of your Big Orange dream-tunnel and look around at the talent and experience sitting atop the BCS standings.

Why would I want a new OC? If the head man would let him call his own game, there is no telling how good they could be. We need a new special teams coach.

We are coming off a week where we roll up 600 yards of offense with a 3rd string QB including a 50 yard pass by CJ Fayton, and people still want to talk about getting a new OC!?

I concur that our special teams play could use improvement. Actually, a LOT of improvement. So, if you want to bash, or if you just HAVE to fire someone, I'll agree with Storm.

BHAM, maybe all this FIRING talk is the fault of "the Donald." You think?

What's up with the double posts in this thread? Were we having sever issues??

I agree, we need a special teams coach first. Good special teams could help our offense and defense tremendously. If our offense could work with a short field and our defense with a long field, we could be much better. Granted, our defense would have play though. Can't give up a 91 yard drive to UK. But how many 80+ yard drives have we had this year on offense? 20 or so?

Actually, 22. 6 of those were against UNLV in the opener, though. Interestingly, all had gone for touchdowns until the Kentucky game, when we squandered 2 of them.

If you include 70+ yarders, that tacks on another 6 drives, all but one resulting in a TD.

RS did a hell of a job getting our 2 freshman comfortable with the system and readt to play. He's not going anywhere

Ummm, you could start by sending me $100! That doesn't have much to do with being a man, but I sure could use the money!
