I was wondering (outside of forums) what are some good news sites that you use to keep up with SEC football and ESP the VOLS. I have been using SDS and SECCountry but the later one has not updated or posted anything in weeks. I am not a fan of ESPN or Foxsports. So what does everyone use?

This is it for me, VN.com.

I use ESPN to follow college football in general, but Vols and SEC specific, I'm just here.

This site is all you need for UT related. You can check the around the NCAA for non UT matters

The Swain Event from 7-10 am daily on Facebook live or the Swain Event app. They also livestream it on YouTube. Also rockytopinsider.com has podcasts weekly. Govols247.com does podcasts about twice a week

Excluding this great site, what are the best SEC/Vol sources of info on latest breaking news and articles? I had SEC Country in my favorites until recently, but that site hasn't updated in a couple of months and must be defunct now. Saturday Down South still seems to be active. Are there others that you recommend? Have you ever been a member of an Vol Insider pay site that you found to be worth the subscription price?

Just curious to see how many sources you use when hungry for all things Vol related and latest breaking news.

Just read an article indicating player injury reports may be mandated soon if gambling lobbyists have their way.

The lag time between news happening and it showing up here is so small that I feel no need for any other source. Often, this site by itself is overload.

Great question, LV.. For general news and articles, my go-to is www.gamedayonrockytop.com.. Will Shelton, Joel Hollingsworth and Brad Shepard are the best in the biz IMO. Great in-depth articles, advanced stats and more. Rockytopinsider.com is a good one as well.

For breaking news, I prefer Twitter because it's literally in real time and I follow all the local sportswriters. I'm also on the 247 email chain, and they get news out SUPER quick as far as commitments etc. I've never paid for a site because I feel like it's not worth the cost when so much free content is available. The recruiting junkies probably have a different take... I just don't have the time to follow recruiting in depth...

OP, I used to get bleacher report and Saturday down south.. I simply don't need it anymore. If its happening on the hill you can find it here. I promise. Our members and mods get links on articles and stuff posted at lightning speed.

Wow didn’t know that thanks for the update. Happen to know why they shut down?
No idea but Cox Media shut down a lot of their college football properties for some reason. I'm not sure why. According to some folks who worked there it didn't seem to be a money issue as the sites seemed to be doing well. I think the closure caught most of them off guard.
