No matter where you stand on the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan I think most here know I am against the war in Iraq you should pick up the book Faces of Freedom Profiles of Americas Fallen heroes it gives a short life story of soldiers who have given their all they have a story for one soldier from each state it is some pretty powerful stuff and proceeds go to veterans charities not sure which ones the book can be picked up at Wal mart and Food cities. To me buying and reading this book shows a hell of alot more support than any car magnet or lapel pin ever will.:salute:

I think it's exploiting the deaths of US service men and women, and there's other ways to support veterans.

I agree - I'm sure they don't want their story told and wouldn't want to help out fellow veterans after their death.

Do all of the proceeds (outside publishing costs) go to veteran's charities? If so, I'm not really sure I find it exploitive. Furthermore, the families of those profiled likely had to consent, wouldn't you say?

The proceeds go to Fisher House and Wounded Warrior Project.

Some things are done to exploit, this is not one of them, imo.

Agreed, nice tribute. Better than buying a "Support the Troops" sticker at the Quickie Mart that sends your $3 to profiteers

I would think the families would have to consent, but that doesn't change my feelings
