Merrill Twins committed to Rutgers.

Darren Myles no longer has UT in top 5. Named LSU his favorite.

Dre Kirkpatrick no longer has UT in top 5. Never had a chance IMO.

Tana Patrick no longer has UT in top 5. No mention of Kiffin contacting him or any interest.

Merrell Twins- Haven't heard much about them in a long time. Think we cooled off on them.
Kirkpatrick- This years Julio Jones as far as his recruiting process goes.
Patrick- Never been a serious player. Money is on Bama.
Myles- Only one we had a shot at. I felt alright about those chances too.

Figures... chances ranged from slim to none anyway.

Tell me what you think King Kiffin is capable of?
Don't get your hopes up to much this year is what i would suggest. We'll get some good ones, but don't expect something over the top. A solid class that he can work with is about all you can ask for this year. I expect next years class will be full of the guys we all want.

I concur.

Although, I honestly I think this class may be better than what Fulmer & Co. could've done. I didn't see that many other recruits coming in with Fulmer at the helm.

That's the way I see it also. The impact will be felt more next year.

Once we get our staff in place, many of these recruits will open up recruiting again. When Coach O and the other position coaches start recruiting hard, we will see more guys talking about UT. Anytime a coaching change takes place, it hurts recruiting. CLK has had three weeks to talk to recruits where other schools have had nearly 2 years. I am not upset that guys like Giles did not choose us. He was a thug who wanted to come to UT because Foolmer was easy on his players. They could smoke weed, get arrested, and so on and nothing would happen to them. Coach K and staff are all about hard work and winning. Kiff has a plan and does it his way. THats why he told Tajh Boyd he would not like his offense.
