Georgia has not played the same caliber of defensive teams that Tennessee has. I did not include the cupcake games, only major power 5 opponents.....

Georgia-
  1. Oregon defense ranked 76th, dropped 44 points on them at home
  2. South Carolina defense ranked 51st, scored 39
  3. Missouri defense ranked 18th, only scored 26
  4. Auburn defense ranked 94th, scored 42
  5. Vanderbilt defense ranked 123rd, scored 55
  6. Florida defense ranked 117th, scored 42
Tennessee
  1. Pitt defense ranked 39th, scored 34
  2. Florida defense ranked 117th, scored 38
  3. LSU defense ranked 35, scored 40
  4. Bama defense ranked 14th, dropped 52
  5. Kentucky defense ranked 19th, scored 44
Average Defensive Ranking of Georgia's Opponents is 79.8, averaging 41.3 pts scored against/game
Average Defensive Ranking of Tennessee's Opponents is 44.8, averaging 41.6 points scored against/game

Essentially Tennessee has played a much stronger schedule, and they have still outperformed Georgia's offense who played lesser competition. Offensively I think the Vols will be ready due to the tough defensive opponent schedule. Can the Vols contain the Dawgs offense is the question and deciding factor of this game.

I think what some doubters might point to is their defensive ranking vs ours because that is who plays tomorrow. What I would say is GBO WGWTFA.

UT has the #21 scoring D and has improved as the season progressed.

The D's mentioned as nationally ranked in scoring D:

Oregon- 81st
USCe- 58th
MU- 30th
Auburn- 95th
Vandy- 124th
UF- 95th

In those terms, UT is the best D UGA has faced. And the next best... gave them fits.

Yardage doesn’t really matter. The defense is designed to limit teams to FGs and try to generate an extra possession. As teams start to shift to trying to keep pace with us, Banks dials up more pressure. We’ve yet to see a team that can stick to their game plan and identity and not shift to trying to win a barn burner vs Heupel.

Depending on GA's offensive game plan, Tennessee needs 3-5 stops to win this game. Or holding them to a FG vs TD.
