Offense vs. Defense

Tennessee Offense
Passing Offense - 61st
Rushing Offense - 105th
Scoring Offense - 105th
Total Offense - 94th

First thing that I notice is our rushing and our scoring offense are both ranked 105. Coincidence? I think not.

Tennessee Defense
Rushing Defense - 6th
Pass Efficiency Defense - 26th
Scoring Defense - 10th
Total Defense - 16th

You would think that by our offense playing against such a good defense everyday in practice would help the offense. Here's my question, does anyone think that playing against such a good D in practice could have a negative effect for the offense? From a confidence standpoint anyway?

We have lost 3 games to 3 good teams. NO MORE! The streak starts Saturday against South Carolina. The Vols need to and will win out.

It is my understaning that during the year, offense and defense play against the scout teams.....not each other!!!!
