Serious question. How would you describe Tennessee's identity on offense this season? And as a follow up, how would you describe Tennessee's offensive identity against Florida?

I'm looking for strategy, not an adjective. I should have been more clear.

Are we a 3-point shooting team? Do we look inside first? Are we a slow paced team or fast? Do we prefer to run when the opportunity presents itself? Does our offense result in a good look most of the time? Are we a team who needs one-on-one scorers for the offense to work? Etc.

Don't have a floor general to tell people when they are out of position during the game and have no one on the bench that knows when someone is out of position.

It's an inside outside game with some high post mixed in. It works well when Tennessee hits outside and can be pretty. If they don't there isn't a counter other that McRae save us. We also don't move well enough without ball.

So our offense looks to score in the paint first, then kick out if no inside opportunity exists?

Would you say we get mostly open outside shots from this?

It's the zero zip nada offense.
Actually may be a multi personality offense. Here today - gone tomorrow.

Seems to be the case over the last few games. More often than not, we're looking for the entry pass to the post. The next thing I see us doing a lot is setting screens on the perimeter for McRae. He can try to drive or get open for a jumper. McRae's passing has improved, so you see him drive and make wrap-around passes right under the basket to the wings or posts. I will say it seems like we know who to give the ball to, primarily inside-out from Stokes to McRae.

That's the goal.

The problem is we don't move when the ball goes in.

That's where go into McRae mode

So do we get mostly open outside looks from this offense or no, IYO?

Double high post with a quick reversal around the top of the key that ends with the post setting a ball screen on the wing while the other post player posts up. At least that's what I see 80% of the time.

Yes.

I think we want to be an inside outside game. Most of the time we start the game and even second half playing to feed the post, but seems like we always stray away from that during the course of each half. We have extremely bad passing guards that can not for some reason pass the ball to the post. We get away from what works of feeding the post and start playing street ball. Just my opinion.

Is this a direct quote from Cuonzo?

Don't know, can't stand to watch more than 2 minutes cause then I want to throw something at the TV. Better to just change channels.

Inside look first, then pass out to perimeter. The team lacks a true PG. Did you watch Mich vs Mich St? Michigan PG Watson Jr would look inside first and then if the post didn't get a good look then they would feed back out to Stauskas for a perimeter shot. Difference with UT is that we have no PG and we lack a shooter like Stauskas (46% from 3pt).
