Just curious if you people thought the line looked real tired in the second half or were the runningbacks just not finding the holes quick enough ? I thought Rob smith did a great job for first time playing center. It just looked like tome that they were just getting beat off the line. Your thoughts ?

The only things I can really say disappointed me were the receivers and Erik Ainge..

Welcome to the board.

O-line sucked......It was ass if we had 5 Michael Munoz's. Run game needs to get better

O-Line played pretty well. I would grade them a B to a B-.

They missed a FEW (very few) asignments considering there was a RS Freshamn in there and a guy playing Center that NEVER had before.

There were NO sacks and there were no fauls start penalties.

Infact, Smith (The C) caught UAB offsides two plays in a row.

The reason the running game didn't have 200+ yards was because UAB stacked the box with 8-9 and the running backs couldn't gain more than that beyond the line.

It's not the line's fault when a back is held to short gains, it IS the line's fault when there are sacks and tackles for loss.

I think he o-line played allright. I saw a few blown assignments and they were not as dominant as I would have liked. Hopefully getting Gandy/Ligon back and moving Smith back to Guard will help.

O-line was decent. Hat's off to Smith. For never playing center, he did remarkably well. I think the run game was decent. Granted, we need to be able to find holes in the line and not rely so much on bouncing to the corners. I really don't know if the backs couldn't find holes, or if the line just wasn't forcing any holes to run through.

Thanks, I agree with most of everything that has been said. Don`t get me wrong I am in no way bashing them at all. Overall I think they did a very fine job as well. Your right when said that the no sacks and no false start penalties is a big indicator on how well they did and for their patience on the line.
I am just a kind of person that just doesn`t like the way we build the Vols up with all the hype and keep on and on how great we are going to be and how we should win it all and anything below that would be a catastrophy. I do expect big things out of the Vols too but I am alittle more like Lou Holts and like to down play us just a tad. Don`t get me wrong there is not a darn thing wrong to be confident but the game doesn`t always work out the way we wanted. I just think the first way you just set yourself up for disappointment. It always seem to back fire imo.
Sorry for rambling on.
I am a Vol fan win or lose and there is alot of work to do before 2 week. Thanks for loistening ang Go Vols!!!!
