Sorry if I already posted as I’ve been traveling, but would love some insight into the OL post South Carolina game. I know we’ve rotated a lot of guys the past few weeks and Cooper being back really stabilized things. Obviously our OL looked a lot better against South Carolina.

Were we still rotating much or was it a pretty consistent 5 Saturday night? What/who should we expect the rest of the way assuming everyone is healthy?

Correct, Mays played 70 snaps, the other four guys played all 74. There was no rotation.

I think Mays played the whole game except for the last series.
Wonder what’s up with Crawford. He and Mincey usually alternate some.

He’s not nearly as good as Mincey.
Agreed but there’s been some disconnect with the staff that only got corrected this past game imo. My working theory is he wanted time at LT and that’s been locked down by Thompson.

Exactly right. The VQ staff has all but said as much. Point is, nothing is "up" with Crawford, Mincey is just better and finally (apparently) got his ish together with the coaching staff. Hopefully, it stays that way.

Really think we're missing an opportunity to put Crawford at LG. Ollie is not SEC caliber.

I thought Ollie was an improvement over Karic at LG, but I think you're right about Crawford at LG.

Bye week is a good chance to work him in there.

Mays being at center made our O go from really inconsistent to very consistent. Just night and day with him at center.
Yep, some may disagree but I think if this same O Line plays Florida we control that game. With Mays running the show and Mincey and Ollie playing at more suited LG this line looked by far best all year.

He bruised something (his knee?) in the Florida game when Mincey was out and has continued to aggravate it. He’s obviously the lesser of the two on a good day, but Mincey doesn’t have the stamina to play 70 snaps. I assume the bye will bring him back in the rotation.
