What in the world is going on with our offensive line? Look, I know that it is a tough job playing in the trenches, but I am so tired of reading about how our OL is banged up and nobody is healthy. What is going on here. We are just about the only team in the SEC with an injured line. Do you all think that this is a strength and conditioning issue? A coaching issue? Do you think that Munoz is being extra cautious because of the NFL draft?

The problem has been stated on the VN before. In a word it is the ability to apply the correct blocking schemes and rules to the defensive front placed in front of them. We have gone to Zone Blocking schemes, used for passing,when we are rushing the ball. Rushing football MUST use drive blocking! RS applied this while observing the Atlanta Falcons not realizing how to apply their blocking rules correctly. An offense CANNOT retreat while run blocking. That is why our rb's run up the back of our linemen 75% of the time. Really enjoyable to watch isn't it?
