I think this has been the best called game so far, which probably sounds crazy given we only have 3 points. But we have taken a couple of shots up top, have not been nearly as predicticable as usual, and are just showing some confidence in Dobbs.

Not usually so optimistic, particularly when getting blown out, but it seems obvious to me that the coaches are really a lot more confident with Dobbs than anyone before.

I tend to agree. We should have 14 points if North had ran had on his deep route and if Josh Smith could catch.

WRs gotta help Dobbs out when the plays are there....that simple and the difference IMO so far.

Why? All we going to run is that stupid fly sweep that gains between 2 and -2 yards every time.

I should have been more specific in my thread title. I actually do think we should run a little more - especially Dobbs. But I think the play calling is showing a confidence in the qb we have not seen this year: for good or bad this particular game

After you seriously complimenting the offensive gameplan after one of our worst offensive games of the year? Diversity in playcalling doesn't make an offensive coordinator good! If that were the case, we could just stick a kindergartener in the booth and have him pull plays from a hat!

It's strategically choosing plays that align with your teams strengths and taking advantage of the defense's weaknesses that make for a quality coordinator. Something I think Bajakian is absolutely awful at. You only have to look at the constant deep passes Worley was always asked to make to see that. Now that Bajakian's scapegoat is injured, he is starting to get exposed as the fraud he is.

This Mizzou team is giving up 400 yards a game this year! They have not held a single team this year to under 14 points, including teams like Toledo, Murray State, Arkansas State!

Why on earth do you feel this terrible excuse for an offensive strategy and gameplan deserves a compliment? Bajakian's work has been terrible all year and continues to get worse!

What are you talking about? It's the same play calling we have seen all year, the only thing that has changed is that the quarterback is more able to complete the passes!

In terms of adjusting the gameplan to suit the skills and abilities of our quarterback and team, there has been NONE!

True Freshman, 1st career start, on the road against a Top 10 team

38 pass attempts v. 20 runs.

If that doesn't make you start questioning Bajakian's play calling ability, nothing will.

At times you can kinda see what he maybe trying to do with scheme and such.

Most of the time it's hard to figure out what he is even trying to do.
