I thought I would start this one because the last one got a little off track, which was not a bad thing.

Did any one else watch the episode from this past week?

It caught me a little off guard that the commander of the Pegasus was killed so easy. Is it just me, but how do civilians gain access to the commander of a Battlestars personal cabin?

I personally did not care how Admiral Cain was killed. How did her killer have access to her personal cabin?

It will be interesting to see who will be put into command of the Pegasus. I am leaning toward Apollo, but something about that nuclear weapon number six has makes me think that the Pegasus might not be around much longer.

From here on out it looks like the episodes will be geared toward character development. This coming week’s episode will deal with Kara (Starbuck).

Have a good one!

Yep. A nuke to purge the warmongerers aboard the Pegasus. I just can't believe they've killed off the 1 and 2 of that ship. It just came in the picture and now they have no developed characters leading the ship. it would have made a great storyline of the hawks and doves within the military.

Not too sound racially intolerant, but the only other person I could think of on Pegasus who could take command, that we have already seen, is the black weapons officer on the bridge of the Pegasus.

Naturally of course, he will take command and be gutted in his cabin.

Who ever reads this ought to find this very funny. This past episode was entitled scar. I have to admit during the show I thought they were calling scar "cigar".

I have been reading "The Marines of Autumn" and the captain the story revolves around loves cigars.

For the life of me I could not figure out why they were calling him "cigar".

On a side note do you wonder why an Admiral and his ship would take up the duty of patrolling for the mining vessel?

Does Adama trust the third in command of Pegasus with the well being of the fleet?

I thought that was really odd!

WOW!

The Pegasus definately earned the nickname "Beast".

The old gal' took 4 nuke hits and kept on chuggin'.

I love how Baltar is running for President. Deep down you know he is going to win.

Great show!

Nice one year fast forward.....

Baltar...as Bill Clinton wishes he was. I kept wondering what the deal was with the nuke going off. Sure enough it was a signal. How many times can Baltar hand over the human race on a platter?

And Starbuck's favorite Cylon is back looking for her. I guess getting tossed out of the airlock isn't what it's cracked up to be.

I expected what would happen but in some strange odd way it did not play out how I thought that it would.

I did love seeing the wide shots of the Colonial Fleet jumping to and from New Caprica.

Deep down I hope for a spin off, Battlestar Pegasus!

Pegasus is awesome!

Baltar as a Bill Clinton type character is great. I thought Baltar had a little Clinton, Bush I & II with shades of Jimmy Carter.

What do you think? The Adama boys are going to return to the 12 colonies and re-arm and return?

Some other twists.........

RDM's former Trek show...
Seems he's taken elements of DS9 and pumped them with steroids on BattleStar Galactica.

The similarities aren't in the 1:1 details.
They exist in situations...

Like the season finale...

The Cylons show up out of nowhere. Adama and the fleet jump away promising to return.

It reminded me of when the Dominion broke through the worm-hole. And Sisko retreated to Federation space. Dukat and Weyoun board DS9 and the Bajorans can't do a thing about it.

I thought DS9 did it more effectively. But BattleStar was still good in its own way. *The Adama boys are going to return for their baseball to play catch.... :birgits_giggle:

Personal religous tension around a prophet...

Laura is thrust into the "prophet" role.
And Sisko was as well.

Though it was more overt with Sisko. He actually spoke to the worm-hole prophets.

Revolutionary vs. Stationary

The first time I saw Zarek vs. Apollo...I didn't think "Old vs. New". I thought "Edington vs. Sisko".

Thomas Edington joined the Maquee movement to fight the Cardassians and Federation...and in the process made an enemy of Sisko.

There was the same tension between Sisko and Edington as there is with Apollo and Zarek.

(Just for fun) Character similarities...

Alexander Siddig (Dr.Bashir) and James Callis (Dr.Baltar) are dead-ringers. They even talk the same.

But Chief Tyrol and Chief O'Brian are kind of similar too.
