Game Notes

Chattanooga
Chattanooga returns three starters and 11 letterwinners from last season's 15-18 squad. Junior guard Ricky Taylor averaged a team-leading 11.4 points in 2009-10.

Chattanooga has lost 19 straight games against ranked opponents since beating No. 19 Illinois 75-63 in the second round of the 1997 NCAA tournament.

Tennessee
The Vols have won 11 straight season-openers and are 22-2 in their last 24 season-openers. UT is 41-2 in its last 43 home-openers and has an 18-game win streak in such contests. Tennessee is 5-0 in home-openers under head coach Bruce Pearl, and the Vols' average margin of victory in those games is 27.8 points.

The Vols will unveil an Elite Eight banner in the rafters prior to tonight's tipoff to commemorate the Vols' deepest trip into the NCAA tournament.

What do you guys think about this? Usually these kinds of ceremonies are for Final Fours/National Champions only, is everyone okay with this considering it's our deepest ever run?

Almost every team has banners for NCAA tournament appearances, Sweet 16 banners, Elite 8 banners, etc. It'll probably be like the ones they already have up, with the years listed when they went. At least it should be.

I'm excited about it. As posted earlier, lots of schools hang banners for national tournament appearances that typically tell how far the school goes in said tournament.

It was a great accomplishment and deserving of a banner and ceremony.

if anyone can't find a game on tv or espn3.com check out atdhe.net
usually has most games and tv shows available to stream for free. money website.
(also a must have for those times when your wife/gf is whining about watching sports. simple solution, have her control the tv so you still get some later but have your game on the labtop beside you.)

It usually gets past web filters too. At least it gets by mine at work. atdhe.net came through huge for me during the world cup.

Goes from 406 straight to 454. And like I said, its showing me channels I am sub to and ones I'm not.
