With KY and FL both losing last night, this game takes on a little bit more importance. It's for the clear, outright lead in the East. I also think, not sure, that with the losses last night, we can finish no worst than 2nd in the East. Is that right?

We still need to win one of our last two to ensure a 2 seed or better. Beating USC would imediately ensure that as we'd have the tie break over them and UF with the sweeps. We could lose to USC and Bama and have KY and USC jump in front of us.

This may be the most important game of the year. I hope our boys show up tonight. We need a big game from the bigs. If we win tonight, don't we win the East? Even if we lose to Bama and USC wins, we still hold the tie breaker over them since we would have swept them.

Well, if we win tonight and lose to Bama then KY could end up tying us and nabbing the one seed if they beat Florida. Let's just say we have a great chance to get teh 1 or 2 seed regardless of the results, but to lock the 1 seed down we need to win both.

If UT wins they are the SEC EAST champs. It doesnt matter wat else happens if tennessee wins they are 10-5 UK is 8-6 the best they could finish is 9-6. Even if we win and lose sunday and USC wins our records wuld be the sae but we would have the tiebreaker. So tonights game is for the SEC East.

If Tennessee wins tonight, we clinch the East...period.

If Carolina wins tonight, they still need to win their final game or have us lose to Bama. We have the second tiebreaker on Carolina (division record).

If Tennessee loses tonight, we likely have the 2-seed, but it is not guaranteed. Kentucky would need to win at Florida and have us lose to Bama to capture the 2 over us.

Keep in mind that LSU is the 1-seed in the West...it would be in a best interest to finish #1 or #3 in the East if we want to avoid them until the finals.

We CAN'T get down early. . .we need to start the game off with a run or at least matching them shot for shot. If we do, then our defensive intensity will pick up and I think we can wear them down over 40 mins.

If we start the game off and Maze or Hopson start hitting some 3's we are gonna be in good shape if we start off slow and get behind I will be a little worried. This team is not that good at coming from behind!

I am going out to a bar here in Charleston with about 5 vol fans and 5 gamecock fans, so I hope to God we pull out the win, I don't think I will be able to stand hearing that clucking all night!

If we stay on Downey and hit some three's, we can easily win this game. If we get behind we are toast. I believe the first 5 minutes will tell all.

Already getting excited about this one....I just hope we don't come out flat....if I see the team that we saw on the court at Auburn, I'm going to go ballistic.

me too. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt until i see otherwise, I won't look back any further than the UF game. hopefully the same team shows up that gave it to the gators a few days ago...

They're going to have to play even better to knock off USCe...UF is much worse.

Vols have really improved their defense this season. Gotta hit those free throws & have great shot selection without sacrificing assertive play. We have a great opportunity tonight. GO VOLS!
