The VN fanbase ought to be the last group on earth to make fun of delusional posters and their coach search. We've been the model of what not to do for 5 years now.

Maybe news from a lurker - Grudenville

Hey guys, have been watching this for a few days. Heres a little news that may or may not mean anything. I work for one of the two main shipping company's as a part timer at night in one of the hubs. I do address corrections and similar. Last wed. we had a hold request for a J. Gruden to be held til further notice. Its Called a "hold for pickup" with shipping address actually to the shipping company rather than a home address. Yesterday the first of those pkgs arrived at hub. Not many, maybe 6 regular size boxes and a few envelopes. Again, this could be for a jennifer gruden who is moving here from alaska but at least a coincidence.

1. If this were the case we would have heard about it, NO WAY was anything announced to the players other than Dooley saying "Doesn't look like I am going to be back here next year, chances are slim" in a team meeting on Monday.

2. There is no effing way Jon Gruden would be in attendance in a team meeting before he is even announced as the coach. Thats just too far out there.

Sorry for cross posting from Cliff Notes, just wanted to point out that just because something is posted there doesn't mean it is actual information. Use your heads people.

Ok. While I do not know, and frankly do not really care if JG was in Knoxville today, but.....

In one afternoon,

- somebody said that Hart was playing golf with Lamonte

- several people have claimed to have seen Gruden on campus (and 2 people that I know who work at UT have said that everybody on campus is talking about it)

- somebody has claimed that the Grudens were visiting Webb

- Hubbs finally committed to Dooley being officially gone

- Rucker pulled the sneaky backtrack after somebody called him out on twitter

All of this coincidentally occurred the day after several people in this thread heard that the deal was done?

Again, I could (although I wouldn't) dismiss each of these pretty easily, but all of these under these circumstances?

Absolutely. I know this is a rumors forum, but we ought to have some sort of "pass the smell test" before it hits the Cliff's Notes.

There is some truth here, but to my knowledge did somebody here start a message board named for the coach that had not even been named the coach here yet. I sure hope not:unsure:
