As the days of our lives pass between he sands of stone: I have no idea what that means.

I do this though, I look for reports today noting further school AD'S not having been approached from Hart.
Gundy/OSU has been on record.

Sometimes the dog you give you a second chance turns out to be the best dog you ever had. I said I would have to bite my tongue, I know his history. I would still take him over the likes of Strong or Golden.

Love your avatar btw: HATE HATE HATE!

He would be on his 4th chance. Louisville kept him after the Auburn mess. Falcons hired him after that mess and left them high and dry. Arkansas hired him after knowing about his auburn-Louisville crap and thought nothing was wrong with him leaving an nfl team with just a note in lockers. He has had chance after chance to stop this bullsh!t child behavior.

There is no justification for this hire whatsoever.

I've got a question...why is thread even still active? He's not coming, won't be coming, probably not close to coming, be it last week, today, tomorrow or next year. Like beating a dead horse to get up and walk...:horse:

The same reason every other thread is open...for discussion. If they closed every thread that did not have irrefutable evidence of accuarcy VN would be a lonely place

My guarded caution comes from the parallels that the Saban and Meyer stories foreshadow in our situation.

Right now...we are in a situation similar to the end of the movie Shutter Island. No one knows exactly what the truth is...and I believe the people I was talkin to because they are friends of mine. They are all in "wait and see" mode....as am I.

I'll go back and read your post...

I don't want it to get lost in translation or in snarky responses to people who directly try to troll my main theory on all this. I respect the HELL out of what you guys have provided thus far. Like the opening lines in my whole spiel say, I don't put much stock into online "informants", especially folks I don't know on a first-name basis, but I really feel you guys not only got some good information that the masses couldn't get, but also put it out there for the rest of us to digest. I'm no smarter than anyone else on this forum, but one thing I am capable of doing in situations like these is removing the emotion and allowing unbiased contemplation to weigh over the things I've heard, read, and learned. In doing so, with what you provided, mixed with what has played out, is where I derived my nutso theory from.

Again, if I'm even anywhere near the ballpark in this - I'm just the guy the explained the homerun to the fans, while you folks were the ones that hit it.

There are a lot if assumptions about what the OG's feel. Nobody has dropped off or slinked away.

BCarter is the only one I've seen distance himself from his sources or completely reverse his position.

My position is still firm but guarded. My information has not changed, and I still am trying to make sense if Fridays developments. One thing is certain, none if what happen adds up or passes the smell test. Until I'm told something different by those I trust, I'm still cautiously optimistic. I find it telling that we are still inside the original timeline that was expressed from the outset.

For those claiming we've disappeared from the thread.....I am seldom here much on the weekend. But I'm never far away. My life eats up my weekends....its much easier to post from work during the week.

I don't think the sources were wrong. Most of them had Gruden being the coach, where there were differences was mostly money, control , length of contract etc. The way this all ended on Friday is the issue that I have. There is no way Gruden would have closed the door like that. He has family that live here, he would have issued a very well thought out statement .
I have zero sources, but I have years of experience. My experience is usually right and I believe things are going as planned by Hart and Gruden.

I see it from Carters point of view.... sort of.

I'm hearing from boosters a version of the truth mixed with their hope and excitement.
I have a wait and see attitude now. The guys I know have been right in the past so I not bailing on them, just waiting it out.

I think this is what everybody needs to consider when generating your hypotheses for what transpired.

Big boosters are fans just like us. If any of us had their kind of money, we would be big boosters. We are all more likely to look at each bit of information through our orange tinted glasses.

There are lots of scenarios where the boosters perception of how far along things were was far more optimistic than reality (at least from Gruden's perspective).

Having said all that, the one thing that I go back to is the M&M interview where Gruden denies the Browns ownership offer, but for no apparent reason adds "I guess I need to discuss this with my wife and kids since it involves them".

A person could take that to mean that this was, indeed, news to him and he needed to talk to his wife before she gets the impression that he is moving them to Knoxville.

Another person could think that he had told them that they are moving to Knoxville and he knows she is going to get word of his denial.

Either interpretation is reasonable.

I still believe Tarzan will swing on the vine! Redwolf wants to be hero, and Midas can make it happen. Just as likely as any other at this point!

They are saying they have heard nothing from anybody that carries the juice to change their mind. That is what is crazy and does not add up. I actually put a little stock in Macgruders theory. It happened once before back in October when everyone got too close.....it just wasn't as severe that time.

Thanks Boro.... I just moved up a little

Whoohoo! We are so gonna get Gruden! Can you imagine the pandemonium when he's announced? On a national level...all eyes will be on us next year when we take the field...I cannot wait!! GBFO!!
