He's done well at Oklahoma State. I think he'd be a solid hire if he would leave Stillwater.

Thoughts?

Alum, dream job, would get a match on any offer, does not need to "prove himself" in the SEC, has a better shot in the Bevo10 to win while he's still young and relevant, loves his local charities, got a raise recently when he was flirted with by other schools, ect ect.

Might as well at least throw an offer his way. He might not want to play second-fiddle to Norman his whole life.

Just saw it from Gruden cliff notes (which are great whomever started them). He's 1) a man and he's 2)forty (plus). Seriously,he's really raised expectations there since Miles left, but I think he may have recently gotten a raise/extension there so he may have a huge buyout.

T. Boone Pickens has pumped so much money into that program, he will not leave. Believe that is his alma mater. He has a freshman QB that is going to be a stud, so I just don't see him leaving.

I think we would just end up in a bidding war with T Boone, with the only winner being Gundy and his new raise.

Gundy wouldn't dare leave his alma mater. And T. Boone Pickens isn't letting him leave either.

he played there,T Boone has brought them into the 21st century with new
facility upgrades and stadium renovations,and he's king ding a ling in Stillwater...

only reason I can see him leaving is if T Boone and him dont see eye to eye

Like others have said, it's his alma mater, he isnt going to leave there unless he is ran out of town or if he and T.Boone have a knock down drag out.
Chances = slim to none.

I believe he has gained a lot of ground on the Sooners lately. My wife's family is from Oklahoma and follow the Sooners. Believe it or not they are getting a little impatient with Big Game Bob and there has been talk that he has explored leaving, despite building a castle in Norman.

I really think we have a better shot at Gruden. However, Gundy would also be a great hire too imo. Really he would be one of the few I wouldn't mind if we didn't get Gruden to end up with.
