Please no delusions about pulling Bryce Brown, Trent Richardson, AND Randall Carroll, etc. :crazy:

There's some semi-worrisome news about Oku and Stokes taking visits, but I don't think either would be a huge loss. Some rumblings about Thigpen too, but if he goes it's probably because Kiffin thinks he's too small. I think Kiffin will want a big-framed WR/TE-type such as Marlon Brown or Orson Charles for his pro-style offense and will go after them hard. Bryce Brown will likely not sign on NSD and might be lured to make a post-NSD visit if we sign a stellar OL class. The OL class might be the most important part of the class for a successful 2009 season anyway. I think Orgeron locks up Montgomery when he visits. And Kiffin makes a strong push for Teague on his visit, especially to piss off Florida :rock:

I hope to browse the recruiting forum some tomorrow to brush up on the status of all these guys. Feel free to correct any errors and critique the signing classes I listed.

I would like to think we end up in the top 10, but I have been greatly disappointed lately, so I do not want to get my hopes up too high.

First of all this should be in the recruiting forum and secondly, why do you say "please no delusions about signing Bryce Brown" and then you have us signing him ?

I beleive you omitted Nyshier Oliver, might want to add him to your list. I would be extremely surprised if we got all 3 of Phillips, White and Hall but one can always hope.

You were a little off on some of the projected schools for some recruits.

Bryce Brown: has Miami and Oregon at the top.
Je'ron Stokes: Illinois, Michigan, Tennessee, UGA
Thigpen: Tennessee, Miss State, UCLA, ND
Marcus Hall: OSU, Miami, UT
Trent Richardson: has all but eliminated us
Marsalis Teague: UT, Bama, UF
"Z" Mason: UT, Ole Miss


And also Schofield has firmed his commitment and isn't a soft verbal anymore.

There are also several you left out, I'm not even gonna bother naming all of them.

I think its important to remember that I broke the Oku news on this board 1st. Actually prolly not important at all, just prolly the only contribution I've ever had here so, Im excited to have contributed.

Great post! It's just the sort of thing that many of us have been wondering, and have been hoping to see for some time.

I understand that we have a "recruiting" forum, and that this thread will likely be moved, I didn't mind seeing it here at all - for what it's worth, which is very little.

I think that we hold Oku and the other softs, and are pleasantly surprised by a couple more.

I'm optimistic, but I see a Top 15 class, with a chance at Top 10 if things fall just right.

I'm aware this is not a complete list. Just the ones I thought were either top priorities and/or the most realistic to land. Are you sure Z Mason isn't seriously considering Memphis? And are we that far behind with Stokes now? Why hasn't he decommitted? Thanks for the updates though

"unofficial" visits are not listed. You can get the same treatment...to an extent....as an "official" visit.

I just have a hunch something big will happen on NSD! JMO! i am NOT saying this because I have info....but why would 2 top 10 qb's sign with UGA?????
