the more evidence that shows up about athletes, the less applicaple that old adage becomes.

agreed, and where do you draw the line between lowering your car 1/4 of an inch or taping your opponent's signals or using HGH?

What are the odds that Seau (in particular) and Bruschi aren't on hgh and/or roids? 1 in 10? 1 in 100? why is it that football players get a complete pass by the media and fans?

Because football is more popular right now than baseball is. You think the logic would be that since it is more popular that there would be more scutiny, but a lot of people have a lot of cash tied up in the NFL. Dana Stubblefield is the only player or ex-player I've heard about recently tied up in the BALCO scandal.

Because football started drug testing in 1987 and will suspend someone for 4 out of 16 games of the season for failing a test while baseball started testing in 2003 and suspends someone 15 days out of a 162 game season.

Hmmm, so perhaps we should just encourage all athletes and aspiring athletes to juice up...

you're only cheating if you get caught. If you're dumb (or smart) enough to try and escape the NFL's drug testing, go for it.

I have a hunch that hordes of them have and continue to escape it. HGH is a problem across the entire sporting landscape.

I will also add the there is most likely very little, if any, difference in the number of juicers on the pats that there are the Colts or any other NFL team.

I'd venture to say any professional sport that you can make a living at (short of golf and bowling) there's probably some performance enhancing drugs being used.
