An hour away.

Predictions?

I say that the Republican response on the floor is muted. No "You lie!" type moments, because it is starting to dawn on the GOP that they are in trouble on the fairness issue.

But afterwards, they will scream bloody murder. Fox commentators may stroke out.

I predict there will be a lot of hot air in the room. I also predict that I won't be watching because it will just be a rehash of Obama talking points.

Like Obama or not, he is POTUS and those attending the SoU should respect the office.
They can sit during the entire speech and never clap but they should not be yelling out anything at the POTUS.

I don't care if the POTUS is a Dem, GOP or third party, the office deserves to be respected.
Just my 2 cents

Take a drink every time he says "income inequality" or mentions that the wealthy "need to pay their fair share."

You'll be wasted before he finishes his first sentence.

An AMT for multinationals with proceeds going to breaks for hiring here. Interesting.

Sounds like a hundred lawyers sitting in a room to find out how to get around it and save millions. Either that or it's going to hurt multinationals stay competitive by either adding an additional cost or forcing them to pay more for manufacturing.

Flat, low corporate tax rates. Stay out of the way, and let the market work.

LG, I am completely with you as far as capital gains rates, but the government needs to stop trying to influence business.

Solid campaign speech so far. The "state of the union" is pretty cut and dry, that could be explained in about 5 mins.

Every time I see Al Franken in the audience, it feels like an SNL skit.
