Stepping up in competition this week. UNLV has some solid pitching, tonight's starter is very good. The Running Rebel's pitching will help prepare the Vols for SEC play. UNLV is not a great hitting team but will expose some flaws in UT pitching this week if they are not sharp.

Lack of movement on fastballs could be exposed on some and the inexperience of most of the staff will result in up and down performances. KSerrano will have to be much sharper this weekend than he was last weekend (he definitely has the stuff, it's consistency that needs work).

This weekend will be a good early indicator as to how good the Vols are. Look for a low scoring affair tonight.
