How many visits do we have available? I know there was some talk about gaining 12 more visits or something like that, with the coaching change.

I don't think we have many lined up at this point, but now that we have our coach - and more slots available - this number could come into play.

14 more Official Visits are/should be the result of an appeal due to the coaching change. DD didn't talk to the recruits this weekend so we could qualify for the 75% of OVs under previous coach qualification. Haven't heard from NCAA about appeal yet.

Someone on Scout mentioned we had 14 left, so if we got a bonus 14 then we would have 28 available for the next two weekends. Unconfirmed.

The bigger question is how long until the NCAA rules on the appeal, time is of the essence IMO.

If this appeal happens in time to use it this coming weekend it is the first sign that the NCAA feels differently about Dooley than it did Kiffin.

I bet the compliance director feels like he won the lottery with this coaching change.

could someone who would know explain how the ncaa recieved its authoritative power over the tax funded colleges when it comes to the #of scholarships, to be awarded and removed if violations are found from infrations of ncaa rules, not federal or state laws. Also how can the ncaa levy fines to schools and coaches if tax is used to fund a college.
