If posed this question in more than 1 thread, but no 1 ever answered it, so braniacs heres your chance to shine. What authority do the officials at each level answer to?...I don't think any. Because you never hear of any investigations. Far fetched that a official would shave points?...influence momentem...players have done it...coaches have done it...for $. So why do we never hear of officials on the hotseat?

I hear what you are saying. I think it's almost as if nobody ever wants to even insinuate that this could happen because it would completely render the games people love meaningless.

Institute replay in all major sporting events, keep the identity of the film reviewers secret. Maybe put them through bias tests, as well as testing for ability to perform the job.

One problem is that the NFL is the only major professional sports league that does not employ full time officials. All those guys have other real jobs.
