That was a bad shot by Chism, but officiating was terrible. They cost us numerous possessions.

The no call at the end of the game kills me. After the shot, Chism was trying to get the ball and the Purdue player hacked him REALLY BAD and there was no call.

Chism should have been at the line with four seconds to go.

We had quite a few calls as well - it wasn't one-sided - I felt they got a few more breaks on fouls but nothing significant.

Lets not blame the refs for this one. The foul count was even and if Chism makes that 3, we win. The team lost this one not the refs. (but it was a foul) ;)

Yep. I felt like one official was pro-purdue and one was pro-ut....definitely bad calling on both sides...just pick one way and go with it.

Commentators though, they were pro-purdue thats for sure...how many times do you really need to say they should have been up 7

I seriously think they called all of these games this way because they don't want a blowout. Look at the previous VI tourneys and you'll see. They are competing as well and this tourney is huge for the island. Why not have every game close with the championship just as closer. They did loosen up a little bit in the 2nd half but I believe you do NOT call a foul that late in the game unless its completely obvious. UT had their chance to win, no reason to call a stupid foul to give us the win (even though they had been the whole game)

The officiating was awful, but it was awful on both ends, and not something we can blame this loss on, IMO.

I have no problem if they want to call a tight game, or just let the players play and not call much. But all I ask is be consistent. The refs called a VERY tight game for the first like 10 minutes, then just decided to let them play. Then the last 10 minutes of the 2nd half they started calling a tight game again.

Yep, they called it the same both ways and I think Purdue had more calls go against them. I dont like games like that when they are called so close because there is no flow to the game.

Or when the announcers were talking about UT trying to chip away at the Purdue lead (at the time they were up 3 and we were at the line shooting 2)? They were hard to listen to calling the game down the stretch .

Purdue is a good team but they hand check like its going out of style. To many times the refs let that go, other than that it was pretty even on fouls. Good game, looks like another outcoached job to me, because we had the faster more athletic team. Pearl's teams weakness seems to be the half court offense and they just can't do it consistently enough. Point guard is still a thorn in this team's side and probably will be all year.

The worst call of the night was probably when the most overrated white boy they kept touting lowered his shoulder and took 2 steps and plowed into Brian Williams, and they called a block. I was laughing hard at that call.

The officiating did not cost us that game. When the rubber hit the road, Purdue executed just a bit better. It was a very evenly matched game between two good teams. To me, the real killer was B-Dub missing the front end of the one-and-one with about 2 minutes left.

when they said that it made me think, what does purdue have a 15 point lead or something?
