I know, I know I'm bored and its the offseason. I was wondering if butch had all of the vols that declared for the draft this yr returning for next year (minus the seniors), how many games do you think we would win? Apologies if this has already been discussed

By "all" do you really mean Bray, Hunter and CP? It would be ok to have Sentimore back for depth purposes but he's far from a game-changer.

That being said it's hard to tell. Our O this season could look very different than what we saw last year. Think Oregon, high tempo but very run oriented. I don't think we will struggle on offense behind a very good line this year. If we had these guys back sure we would be better, but our W's and L's will come down to the D can they return to pre Sal form and stop anyone?

ALL the vols? none of the seniors naturally.

but still. Bray, CP, Hunter, Rivera for the rest? The best Offense we ever had basically back for another round. If that doesn't give at least 7-8 wins with even a high school defense then TN should just close its doors on football.

We had 5 wins last year and we had a high school defense

.... no offense to all high schools out there. There should have some type of legislation enacted ensuring Sunseri never coach college football again. Maybe like an infinite show cause or something.

My high school defense would've had them winning seven games. We at least knew where to lineup and how to play in a complex style and still be fast. What we saw last year was an abomination to the word defense.

Your sentence structure is not helping me take you seriously, but I'll bite just because I can. I did at least play college ball (and AA baseball), as did the majority of guys I graduated with, from DIII all up to DI, and one of our guys will be on an NFL roster in free agency, as a special teams player. So I'm no idiot to the game, I've seen talent and coaching of all kinds.

I wasn't saying MY team could have done it literally, I was being facetious, but if you want to make something into an internet peen war you won't win. Not with that grammar and syntax.

Huh? He's wrong for saying (actually implying at best)he played high school football? How do you know? I got his point and I suspect you did too. The point was our defense was really, really bad. He wasnt being literal.
