I thought you may have viewed the Bama game through Orange shaded glasses(Happens to all of us) and overstated their QBs' struggles so I went and read two writeups on ESPN and CBS. Now I think your assessment of "garbage" is actually putting it nicely.

After many years of getting my hopes up only to have them crushed, I sincerely try to keep it real, and man they looked really bad. The true freshman looked the best, but it was more of a clean end of a turd thing than actually looking good. Imagine how ugly our game with them last year would have gotten without Young. We may not be anywhere close to as good as we were last year, but if we are we may cruise against them with these new quarterbacks.

There’s a part of me that’s happy Ty Simpson hasn’t impressed. So I found myself looking inward and questioning my pettiness because the honest truth is…we don’t need him here. Nico is a class behind him and had Simpson come to tn it could’ve impacted our recruitment of nico. So after much soul searching I’ve come to conclusion that…I’m so happy Simpson sucks. Hope he wins the job and becomes their JG

that really was a Heisman worthy game for him. We were constantly getting pressure, we didn't have as many breakdowns by the defensive backs. he was just scrambling, and making amazing throws ALL game long.

Agreed. Shane has that same whiny, constipated look his dad always had if ANYTHING went against VT. Sadly, Shane is every bit the ESPN darling that his father was.

He obviously wasn't going to win the Heisman because Alabama lost a couple of games and he didn't quite have the stats as 2021, but I don't think there was a better player in the country than BY in 2022. Alabama would have lost 5 games last year with just average QB play.

If he doesn't have a good NFL career, I'll be surprised. Size notwithstanding. He reminds me so much of Russell Wilson (not last year's version).

I kinda wish I could watch that game as a disinterested fan, because that was a dang good game on both sides. heroics aplenty. and just generally good football.
