Serious question for ya since you cover recruiting, how are these kids getting offers, as in whats the channel of communication? Reason I ask is my son spoke to a coach yesterday, and he literally told him "I'm not allowed to be talking to you yet, but you can expect an offer later this summer...". He is a 2025 athlete.

I thought it went through the coaches/AD. Our coach tells the HS they want to offer X a scholarship, or get him on campus or whatever.
