And if we were sitting at home protecting our borders this wouldn't have happened. How many unintended consequences will it take for us to reverse course?

I don't see it happening in my lifetime. Not enough money in it for the right people.

I don't think we have to worry about Iran reverse engineering anything. They would need strong foreign help for the drone to be of any real use. The downed helicopter tail used to get OBL which was shipped to China scared me way more than this incident.

couple of things that dont look right in the video. If you google images RQ 170, the plane doesnt have a grill covering the intake and in the video. Also the size is off, and in the video, they have a skirt hiding the landing gear. I think its a fake

We can hope

Remember how we trained the Taliban? Remember how we armed Iraq? Those were good ideas. More of the same.

Stealth features and coatings, sensors, and cameras. The tech is likely ten years old.

Could be. If it was indeed being used by the CIA the camera and sensors are not a decade old technology unless they thought there was a high probability of it going down.

Can't say I am surprised by the overreaction from some of our right leaning members.

The only way this becomes a big deal is by someone not knowing any better and making it a big deal.

I'm no expert, but this isn't a big deal. It should have never been there to begin with.
