in the UT war room..... would love to know the priority by position and player within those positons... then how much best available factors in to override the basic plan.... The one OL seems pretty clear, but then sequence of DL, LB, DB, WR, and RB have me scratching my head.... will follow the aruguments on how many more initial counters we can really sign this year, and I am sure that will come once all the medicals and other transfers out are identified. My fingers are getting weary from coming back and clicking on threads to get that finalized....

Long range I will try to see the evaluation skills of the staff where they have reached out and accepted signatures from the three star pool.... Some seem to have some skill sets that could out produce some 4 stars down the road....

This is one thing I would love to watch as a documentary. I realize there are various important confidential issues that need protecting. But, after a decade or so, it would be super interesting to see how a staff handles a war room for signing day or the draft.

Ohhh! I’ve been right on a couple of things. Crouch was on campus. There was excitement started to buzz about Hazlewood was interested, and he was. I heard the rumor that the coaching staff was scrambling, and had a meeting that day, in which I believe there was a transfer coming in. I also said that Philip Fulmer and Pruitt came in around 5:00 to the war room another morning, when I was woke up and a little later on, they were all celebrating and clapping, in which I believed could’ve been Crouch committing. I was wrong on the Pappoe rumor that he was on campus, missed that one. I’ve also missed the rumor about Briles. I also started the rumor about P. Manning coming to Knoxville right around New Years, but not taking a job, so we’ll see if he comes or not.

There are no "insiders" here anymore, if indeed there ever were. We learned that during "GrudenMania", and all that followed. This administration plays their cards close to the vest, as it should be.

Making a dozen guesses and hitting on two of them does not qualify one as an "insider". It just means through a combination of logic, luck, and multiple guesses, you got one or two right, or close to right.

I have no idea who the next OC will be. But it does seem logical that the reason for the delay in announcing it is either (a) no one has accepted the job under the conditions Coach Pruitt set, or (b) the next OC is still coaching at their current job. If it was/is going to be Coach Friend, no reason for the delay. That's all I got.

From 450 miles away. Not an insider.
