A majority of respondents to a recent poll in the Buckeye State believe Ohio State could beat the Cleveland Browns.

According to the results released this week by Public Policy Polling, 62 percent of those polled said the No. 2 Buckeyes would beat the struggling Cleveland Browns, while only 23 percent picked the professionals in a hypothetical meeting.

What do you all think?

People don't actually believe this. They are voting against the browns to further show how frustrated they are with their team.

So in other words if the Browns wanted to be better, they should fire their whole team and start paying the Buckeyes to play on Sundays.

Absurd, really.

The NFL are grown men. The offensive and defensive lines would just cave in the college teams. Plus there's speed ALL over the field. No way a college team could beat any NFL team. The NFL team could name the score.

My thoughts, too. Pick any NFL team against any college team. The NFL team could pick the number of points they want to win by.

That they don't understand how wide the gap between even the best college team and the worst professional team actually is.

Fact: if this poll were run in VN's football forum there would be similar results. Say the 1998 Vols vs whoever the worst team was in the NFL that year.

In fact, it would probably be higher than 62%.

Have a better chance of getting struck by lightning than an college team beating an NFL team.

Anyone remember the College All-Star Football Classic that was played from 1934 to 1976?

It was a game between the NFL Champions and college seniors.

In the 42 games, the NFL team won 31, the All-Stars won nine, and two were ties.
