Ohio's mascot does work against Brutus

He was persistent; I'll give him that. I think one of the funnier things is when he takes off in a full sprint once the band opens up.

The Ohio mascot committed the biggest sin of mascotdom: letting the headgear come off.

That alone would have made him lose his position.

I remember one year Smokey's foot came off, and he dove into the hedges to keep from anyone noticing. Incredibly, I am the only person I know who did. A cheerleader went and retrieved the foot and he popped out of the bushes in just matter of seconds. Pretty strange.

I love how when Rufus gets up and chases after Brutus amongst all of the Ohio State football players and cheerleaders that he is running alongside with. Classic!:eek:lol:

I want want to commend the mascot from my Alma mater, Ohio University, for giving his all from the time he stepped onto the field Saturday. We could all learn from the effort put forth. I am proud to call myself a bobcat.......

He doesn't even go to school at OU. He left, but nobody at the school noticed and so allowed him to become the mascot. He said that he has been planning this for years and was the only reason why he tried out for the position. Kind of embarrassing.

I was being sarcastic and I know that the kid goes to Hocking College in Nelsonville OH, It is kinda a sister school to OU anyways.

Happy for the guy getting to accomplish his goal. And props to him for continuing after that first embarrassing miss.
