Forget about it. We're having a great season, and still have some tough games ahead of us. Remember what happens everytime a team starts bitching about rankings, the get spanked. Its happened to ND and AU this season, lets not be next.

If this is our "SI Jinx" for this week I will take it and run. By the way, but the crap out of Bama. Put up another 50 spot. And lets sing Rocky Top all the way home saturday. With that said, lets have a few adult beverages and get loud saturday.

if you would have told me that we would be 5-1 going in to bama week at the beginning of the year i would have asked if you were pulling my leg but we are and i'm just glad of that.:clapping:

The team has come so far this year compared to last year. This is a great position to be in for the team. I find it great we can even have these discussions about where UT is ranked and where they should be ranked in regards to top 10 or not. Night and day on team expectations before season started and today.

You said everytime a team starts bitching, they lose. I took that to mean a team's fans.

Either way, I very seriously doubt that Auburn lost to Arkansas because Tubbs talked about the BCS. He said the exact same thing after the Florida game, so is Auburn going to lose to Tulane Saturday?

And it's not like Phil came out and said "This is a load of crap, we're way better than Cal."

We're fans. That's it. If we want to discuss BCS rankings, it has no effect on how our team peforms on the field.

OK, dude whatever. You dont think player pay attention to rankings? And sure there is alot more to auburn losing to ark, but surely tuberville spending engery bitching to the media about rankings did HELP them.

BCS, the two main letters in that acronym are BS and we know what that means. we have something to prove. We have to play week by week, we cant look at bowl games and rankings. we gotta play it team by team, if we look ahead and loose focus on one game thats when we get in trouble. as Erk Russell the legendary Georgia Southern coach, we just gotta play to win each week, just ONE MORE TIME!!!!!!!

I'm sure the players do pay attention somewhat to the rankings, but I still don't get the original post. Who exactly are you telling to quit bitching? The fans or the team? The team is not complaining, so why would you tell them to stop. If it was directed at the fans, then I still say let them complain all they want, what's it going to hurt?
