Canceling Comcast to get Dish. Cheaper and SEC Network. Dish has no subcontracted companies for internet in my area. If I stick with comcast, it's $85 per month for internet alone. I still come out better than comcast, but I feel like I can get cheaper internet.

ATT doesn't service my area (Western Ave), who has had Knology? Charter? Hughesnet? That can tell me if they're decent or not?

Same zip code for me.

Uverse is right across the highway. Surely they're close to building out over there.

Knology, if you can get a decent rate, is tolerable for Internet only. Speeds are fine, but equipment and service can be way behind. May God help you if you ever have to call or go over to that office off Pelissippi.

I currently have Comcast. Its been the best, performance wise, of the 3. But...its Comcast.

I had Uverse for 2 years. Price was fine, then went skyrocketed after intro period. 85% above what they told me it would go to. Customer service and Retention basically shrugged and said if I wanted their service, then that's what I have to pay.

Considering I had constant drops in service, I just got rid of them. Something about me being to far back in line from the neighborhood hub.

If it were me, I'd probably play Knology and Comcast against each other and go from there. Try not to sign a long contract and just switch if performance or price sucks.

Oh, and try to find an outside rep for comcast. I know a few people who've gotten decent deals like that.

Edit: somehow missed you already have Comcast. Outside rep might be able to help with that but I'm not sure.
