Who the heck goes out of their way to make up all of these elaborate, detailed stories if the two parties have never even talked until this morning?

I mean, seriously?

-contract details?
-potential assistent coaches contacted?
-private high schools toured?
-Peyton?
-friends of Cindy who say she's pushing Jon to move to East TN?
-looming pressers?
-MNF replacements?
-mutual interest from both parties?
-etc
-etc
-etc

Who gets their jollies out of starting this stuff? Or do we all just collectively make it up in our heads together because we want to believe it and spread it around unwittingly until it comes back to us and we end up believing our own made up crap?

It's an interesting sociological experiment to say the least...

(Or maybe we message boarders really do know the truth and everything else is a cover up )

Most of it was just a cut and paste from Arky's Grudenville site, only the names were changed. The contract details, amounts, terms were all exactly the same.

For the most part, I don't think everyone was just fabricating a story. It's just how rumors work. Someone hears something little, passes it on to the next person as being a little bigger and so on. Eventually, you end up with....well this.

Welp, here's what's been confirmed in the past month or so:

1) Anyone that says Arkansas has the most delusional fans needs to look at this site.
2) Most, if not all, of the "sources" on VolNation are full of shiz, just like they always have been.

It was fun but not surprising to be let down - pretty used to this feeling as a Vols fan.

Here's how it works.

1 person makes up a story.

200 people read it and tell there friends about it.

Then their friends tell people about it.

Then one of those people come and post a very similar story on these boards and say it is a credible story from "trusted sources".

So, basically it is just rehashed versions of the same rumors all stemming from dumb-asses on these boards.

Simple answer: people post their musings looking for eCred. Everybody wants their 15 min of fame as the "I told ya so" guy (or girl)
