Where’s BTO’s post Arky game report? I’m guessing he’s going to say what we’re all thinking which is that if our guards aren’t hitting threes, we’re in trouble because we can’t crank up an inside power game. Hard to go deep into March madness when one lukewarm shooting game dooms you.

4. Should have played Aidoo and Mashak more and not go to that awful zone
5. Calling the hogs is annoying...but it creates a hell of a homecourt advantage

Agree, I love this team but at this point we're a first round exit waiting to happen if we play a lock-down perimeter defense.

The chances we play a “lock down defense” in the Round of 64 are highly unlikely otherwise they wouldn’t be our opponent in the Round of 64.

Maybe it's just me (see what BTO thinks), but does anyone else question Barnes' rotation?

Seems that Plav and Bailey are inserted at some ridiculous times when other options may be available.

Why did Aidoo not get more minutes rather than Plav?

Hard to beat a team like ARK on the ROAD. Hard to win Period on the ROAD. Hogs got the calls. Vols struggled to score, Hogs had much easier shots on goal. It appeared UT got in foul trouble and couldn't guard as hard as Ark. VOLS get ark at TBA a week from SAT! Get Back. I fully expected UT to lose this game, predicted to my friend by 10. Yeah, and we didn't get whipped, either. It was a close game for 35 minutes. Defensively, we played better than well enough to win. We haven't won there since 2009 for a reason, but we still had a chance in this one despite how poorly we shot and the very poor officiating.

We miss more shots at the rim than any team in the league, I'm convinced. We really need to be more authoritative going at the basket. Definitely not a loss that hurts us, and if I'm Barnes, I'm focusing on the idea that the game was still in reach despite all of the adversity.

We will likely be playing a mid-major regular season or tourney champion in the first round, I've seen plenty of those types of teams playing good defense.

8. These Refs are smart enough not to call a Technical on Barnes.
If they do then it becomes a point of discussion.
He had several heated debates one way with Greene and no technical fouls called.
If the Refs believed in what they called, then, they would have called the Technical Fouls
Barnes has enough influence and they know it will eventually bite the in the A$$.

7. I think we pushed the inside game with the wrong Personnel. Uros is not the man to establish an inside game. Fulkerson still baffles me.

Best we can do at this point is to whip their A$$ by 20 at home.....and give them a physical game....these charging fouls should be non existent in the Home game.

I suspect this game will be for 2nd, 3rd or 4th seed position in the SEC Tourney with the games Arkansas, KY and Tennessee have remaining.


ADDED: 3 Pt Shots total 24 Total First Half 10 Second 14 Last Minute 4 Last 3 Minutes of game 6 I stated in another thread that we got away inside out game and we passed up a number of 3 point shots that should have been attempted in the first half.

I agree also. Love how they play defense but very frustrating to watch on offense. If they're not hitting their shots from 3 they usually lose. NO inside game whatsoever! That's definitely asking for an early exit from the tourney.

Yes, but he was the only one that was 0% from the line. And had the 2nd highest attempts for the game.
