With OU's past transgressions, plus the basketball teams current NCAA problems brought on by Indiania's new coach, I guess Bob Stoops has to be pretty concerned about the situation when his his star QB is being essentially being paid by a car dealership for no work. Maybe a "lack of instituitional control" infraction which would bring on stiff sanctions by the NCAA. (I don't think we will ever see the Death Penality again, though I hope they reserve one for the University of Alabama for their next cheating scandal. :aggressive:

1) Kelvin Sampson is now the coach at Indiana, not Kentucky.
2) Absent the uncovering of other information, this is a closed case. OU won't face any major sanctions.

Misquote Indiana not Ky. but I'm not so sure this is a closed case. Stay tuned.

When I hear this discussed on talk radio, no one is blaming Stoops. They are calling for more player accountability. I think Stoops made a comment, you can't follow these kids around 24/7. I even think Fulmer has gotten a bad rap in this respect.

All you can do is address the issue when it comes up, and make it clear to the players beforehand that violations will not be tolerated. That seems to have been Fulmer's problem. Fulmer didn't lay down the rules and consequences early enough.

:eek:k:

The only sanction I see for the Sooners is that now they are a 1 trick pony fielding an offense with 1 weapon. He may be a great back but you put 8 in the box on him and this game is over by halftime. I see Stoops (with this scenario and last years Al Gore impression after USC beat em down he dissappeared from interviews to eat twinkies, grow a beard, and watch spongebob in sweatspants and his comfy tee shirt.avoiding the interviews again as he flees to the NFL for the big check and anonimity.

Hat might have a breakdown if his FAVORITE TEAM, OKLAHOMA were to receive the Death Penalty. He'd only have Miami and whoever else was winning to pull for then. :p
