Agreed, but it is hard when you don't have many stadiums throughout the country that is solely dedicated to softball. Unlike in a sport like volleyball where it just essentially needs to be in a big arena. I will say if they are able to move it, it would be good for exposure for the sport. I assume not even person can make the trip to OKC every yearNeeds to be moved around different places. Look in stands tonight and all you see is red.
Ideally, I’d like So Cal, OKC and AtlantaAgreed, but it is hard when you don't have many stadiums throughout the country that is solely dedicated to softball. OK is a great softball program no question but it is a big advantage for them to play in front of an OK dominant crowd especially for WCWS.Agreed, but it is hard when you don't have many stadiums throughout the country that is solely dedicated to softball. They mention it many times throughout the year which was you can have pitchers that give up runs because their offense was so strong and dynamic that their pitchers didn’t need to be perfect. Opposite of what we were the second half of the yearOklahoma would beat any team anywhere. Home field has little to do with it.
They know how to recruit and develop monster hitters. Not slappers. And how many freshmen hit homeruns for them this year at the WCWS?
…and then it is very easy to recruit or get a transfer pitcher….
Old school (and still most ways, including UT) was to get pitching and then hope you get enough hitters around them.
Oklahoma does it differently. And they beat the living hell out of everyone else.
Second half/last month we seemed more reactive instead of proactive. They mention it many times throughout the year which was you can have pitchers that give up runs because their offense was so strong and dynamic that their pitchers didn’t need to be perfect. One thing I noticed during WCWS, the OK hitters know the strike zone. Last game only two batters struck out. Another thing, they are up there hacking. Hence, freshmen homeruns.Oklahoma would beat any team anywhere. Home field has little to do with it.

It's just like the CWS. Oklahoma City is central to all teams traveling to the series. It would be great if Oklahoma was not in the series every year but that's just the way it is.Agreed, but it is hard when you don't have many stadiums throughout the country that is solely dedicated to softball. Gasso has elevated that program and she is the Saban of college softball.
