I trust the coaches and so I do not think they would take too many OL. My question is how many do you think they could take this year? Are some of these guys going to end up moving over from OL to DL?

Sheldon Richardson and Maurice Couch both come along with Gabe Wright and I feel better about DL certainly. We also have Alan Carson, Terry Bell and Mickey Johnson who could be helping there. Are there any Juda Parker guys left if we start hitting with the studs and need room?

How many OL do we take overall? I would be shocked if it ended up being 9 out of 28 players. If we get Clear and Rome do we lose Power?
I am bunching TE in with the OL, so here is who I see us in the hunt for.

Antonio Richardson OL
Nashville, Tennessee Ensworth
6'6" 310
5.1 4 stars 5.9

Cameron Clear OL
Memphis, Tennessee Central
6'6" 265
4 stars 5.8

Jay Rome TE
Valdosta, Georgia Valdosta
6'5" 255
4 stars 5.9

Xzavier Ward OT
Moultrie, Georgia Colquitt County
6'7" 255 lbs

Already committed

Mack Crowder OL
Bristol, TN Tennessee
6'4" 270
5.2 3 stars 5.6

Brendan Downs TE
Bristol, TN Tennessee
6'6" 224
4.7 3 stars 5.6

Kyler Kerbyson OL
Knoxville, TN Catholic
6'5" 290
3 stars 5.7

Alan Posey OL
Athens, GA Clarke Central
6'6" 305
5.2 3 stars 5.7

Andrew Power TE
Yuma, AZ Arizona Western C.C.
6'5" 262
4.7 3 stars 5.6

Richardson will be a Vol & he will be the last pure OL that we take unless a top rated OL would want to come also & then you def take whoever it is.

Clear will be a Vol, he will be recruited as a TE but will end up moving to DT or OT & then thats why you would take Rome if he wanted to come here.

Thanks man, that makes good sense.

If we got Clear and Rome we would still keep Andrew Power?

IMO yes, you will only have 1 proven TE on the roster next year with Rivera. The staff would like to RS Downs. Power will add a very good blocking TE to our roster.

Xzavier Ward would be a good DT candidate. Could be a big presence like John Henderson with his 6ft.7 255 lb. frame he could easily be up to 300 lbs. Hopefully we get some of these guys. Go Vols!!!

Concur. And it would be sweet if we land DT's Couch and Wright.

I want RB Crowell. He's perfect for UT's offense.

We'll see...

Are you saying you like Clear more than Rome

Oh ok and I'm just curious what makes you confident that we will get richardson?

Him & Stone are good friends, Richardson has a great relationship with the coaching staff, his parents really like Dooley, we can offer PT sooner, & Hubbs continues to say we are in GREAT shape with Richardson.

If UF wants Clear, then I think they will have a good chance at pulling him.

Hopefully he will have someone in his inner circle smart enough to realize that there sudden "epiphany" to recruit him as a TE rather than a OL is nothing more than a way to get him to campus only for him to become a OL.

Of course, I am not sure that is not our plan as well. If we do not land another TE ala Rome, I think that he may have a better shot at staying a TE here though.

They could take 11 or 12 O-lineman, if you want to include TEs, and I wouldn't be disappointed. If you build a dominant, reliable O-line with a lot of depth, you can win in any league.

I doubt that Clear and Rome will commit to the same school. That is unfortunate, because it is unlikely that they will be competing for playing time at the same position for more than 1 year, but kids have a very short sighted view of things.

IMO, UT will take 7: 4 true OL + Clear, Powers and Downs.

Also, 6 DL, 3 LBs, 6 DBs, 2 RBs, 1 QB, and combination of 2 WRs/ATHs.

Final slot will go to best recruit available (high-rated DT, DE, WR, or Ath. in which they cannot pass on).

You're list adds up to 25, I believe we can take 27 backcounting 2. If we take 27 then I'd guess we'd try to get another LB and best available regardless position.

AR is also good friends with GT commit Shaq Mason.(6'2 310) Don't rule Mason out as a Vol.

Not happening, were taking 1 more OL (Richardson) & thats it. Unless a highly ranked OL wants to jump on board to & we would make room for him.
