First let me say i will never be anything but a Vol fan. I am pleased with the progress we are making and we did let one slip away but with that said i hate that it seems today that most kids are more about themselves and how they look and play wussy ball. Old school guy just wondering if we would have one if our player didnt have on the pretty gloves or maybe stood up like a man and ran through the defender. Thanks for listening.

This old school guy believes they left it all out on the field yesterday. You really think those guys are thinking about how their gloves look? You can't fault a player for giving his all and stretching out to get into the end zone. There's no way he runs over a guy that has an angle on him at that speed.

Well the gloves help with grip it is not a fashion statement so that's half your answer

Yes the gloves are functional. Its pretty much a factthat players play better when they think they look good. Gives them more swag. Thus why the uniforms work.

Have you been watching the games?

We have been hitting people so hard in defense we are hurting them. UF and UGA took a pounding on those games. They may have won on the scoreboard, but I can promise you they are both still realign from the fight. Neal and Lane have been lowering the helmets and delivering some blows. We may not be winning every game, but it isn't because we have been playing wuzz ball.

Your post is pathetic, and it angers me that you can't see that this team is leaving it all on the field against all odds. When everyone else was giving up on them, coach Jones and this staff believed in them. It is starting to show. This team is going to surprise you all.

I'm probably older than you and I love hard knocks football as much as anyone, but Alton Howard dove from about 5 yards out. He committed his whole body to that play and was an inch or two short. He's as old school as anyone.

I am Old School too. Pig played a great game and helped us be in a position to win !! Very proud Vol fan, and a fan for about 50 years. You do the math.

We grew up a lot in the second half and Worley looked like a QB AND TENNESEE will be kicking SC azz in 2 weeks.:lolabove:
