It goes way back 30 years ago or so. Whenever TN Vols football team would get a top ranked player to commit the rating services were mad that a 4 or 5 star player didn't pick Alabama or another school they thought should have him. So to show their displeasure w/the Vols, they'd take away one of the recruits stars. I think that's how the story goes.
Back in the Fulmer days, ol’ Phil burnt up the recruiting trail! He had Tom Lemming, Allen Wallace and Max Emfinger, on his side.
This Tennessee program and Volnation were instrumental in those services rising to prominence, imo.

It was 30 years ago and I'm just now being exposed to it and it makes me intensely mad as a college football fan at 3 AM on a Tuesday!

First game back after a long stint on IL and what does Max Muncy do? Slaps a 2 run homer to help Dodgers to a 3-0 victory over Mariners.
I watched as much of the Dodgers/Mariners and Padres/Twins, as I could...
Those left coast games are hard on us old timers!

If I had to guess, it probably stems from Phil ratting out Alabama and getting them out on probation. That’s the only thing I can think of.

No more sweet tea for me for a while, went to Doctor yesterday after feeling bad over weekend. Turns out that I had a kidney stone and passed it in doctor's office giving a urine sample. 👀
Oh god!! Good for you that you passed it quickly.
That is the worst, most uncomfortable pain I’ve ever experienced!!

WOW .... I need to knock on wood that's close by. :)
I drink those two items all the time & never had stones.
I've heard horror stories about trying to pass kidney stones.
I hydrate myself in 3 stages.
Coffee in the morning
Water throughout the day
Beer in the evening and nights
