She's already so marginalized. She has no power.

How is she any different than the talking heads you continually throw up in here. She is no more marginalized than GBeck. In fact, she has a vote and a mic. He only has the mic and a very limited audience.

I suppose it depends on your definition of power. Yes, she has a vote, but its not like its a vote that she mulls over or trades or is in any way unpredictable such that her wishes have ot be taken into consideration.

On the flip side, you say Beck has a "tiny audience." I beg to differ, at least relative to Waters' audience. I imagine that the number of people who take some direction from Beck in a given year is about 10,000 times greater than the number who take anything from what Waters has to say.

Ah, yes, the tried and true (and extremely tired) Republican trick of "A vote for Waters is a vote for Obama is a vote for Ayers is a vote for Rev. Wright is a vote for Hitler is a vote for Stalin is a vote for communism ...."

This rhetorical trick of association is just not working anymore. Time to find a new gimmick.

I bet she was born in Kenya, too.

also, I will hold you to your standard that guilt-by-association is no longer a valid criticism of a politician or other prominent public figure.

I sincerely hope you do.

And its not so much guilt by association as it is association means support in every respect. For example, just because someone voted for McCain does not mean he supports all of McCain's more liberal views on things like homosexuality and a vote for Obama does not mean that one supports every single part of the stimulus package.

and yet, there are posts of yours where you paint with a broad brush and consider all conservatives, particularly those who watch FNS or listen to Limbaugh, racist rednecks.

jeez, counselor, what's it going to be?

There really is only 3 differences in Duke and Waters.

He's White, she's Black.

He's male, she's female.

His IQ is close to 180, hers is almost 80.

OOPS! Make that 4 differences.

He has somewhat backed off of his overt racism, she has not.

It is perfectly fine to be a racist when you are a democrat.

One of those do as I say not as I do things...

I'm not sure if I'd ever want to be out on the limb to defend a pinheaded douchebag like David Duke.

We all know that black people cannot be racist, they have no power remember. You must refer to them as prejudiced.

Get your facts straight OE!

98% of republicans would agree with you. The sad part is that this doesn't hold true for men like Wright, 80% of democrats would say you had gone to far by labeling him racist.

I guess the same could be said about another racist, Barack Obama.

80% of Democrats would call Wright a "civil rights leader".

Well, if I did that in the past, I should not have. But my recollection is that its not the people who listen to Limbaugh that I have complained about nearly as much as I've complained about Limbaugh, himself.

Those who routinely go to FNS as their main source of "news" are simply beyond help and their souls are doomed to eternal damnation, so really not much I can do about then, anywhosal.
