There is way too much talk about us playing Mississippi State/Vandy and how our future will play out based on the outcome of that game.

If we aren’t focused and ready to go against Ole Miss/Auburn we can back our bags early and head home!

Need to stay focused on the task at hand and that the next game!

Go Vols!

agree we have said it from the beginning of the turn around. one game at a time. a week ago it was 4 games to get in. Has not changed just it is down to two with a one game at a time mentality.

I love the scolding of fans on a message board, like our focus has anything to do with the team's.

Heck, talk about lack of focus, I have started to look ahead at how good this team might be next year. Coach Cuonzo Martin made me run stadiums because my idle day dreaming was affecting his teams focus at practice.

Good lord did I bring out the Volnation message board Nazi’s or what!

Just hope that the team isn't being patted on the back and told over and over about how beating Vandy in the 2nd round will assure the NCAA bid. Lack of focus has been to the detriment of this team multiple times this season and with us so close to reaching a goal many never thought possible for this team it was an issue I wanted to discuss.

Maybe he's talking about the potential let down if we don't win the next game. The bigger your expectations get the harder they can fall.

I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin!

Where have you been all year?
That's not Martin's style.

If we win our first game, and Miss St wins their first 2...obviously it sets up in a semifinal, would this be an elimination game? Or would Miss St already be in, I saw in a few places that they just need to win 1.

You're acting as though this team is reading the message boards...

We as fans can look ahead to next week or next year, and it should have no impact on this team, we aren't playing Or coaching.

I they are watching ESPN that's fine, but espn hasn't said one time to look past your first game Vols. all that is being said is the vols will most likely need 2 wins to assure themselves o dancing.

CCM doesn't look ahead, and this team has taken on the identity of their coach. If they lose game one it will not be because they were looking ahead, or because volnation was looking ahead.

When did we start playing for the bball team? Fans can look ahead and it has no affect, but players on the other hand...

I think we'll only be favored 3.5 to 4 points over Ole Miss. That's no slam dunk

I do think some players read this message board....

Just saying that every time I get ready to really believe in this team we screw something up…….

We play great in Maui and then come home and loss four games, we get on another roll and then lose to Mississippi State and Georgia (games we should have won), and I feel we should have beat Bama.

I’ve just got a terrible feeling that the Vols aren’t going to be ready to play Friday night. Hope I’m sorely mistaken!

The Nazi reference is for the members that constantly beat down other messages summited by others—Don’t like, agree with or find it relevant then why post on it? Just let it go to the bottom of the page.

It's fun to look at what could happen, but we all (most anyway) realize nothing really matters other than the ole miss/auburn game. Obviously none of what we say will mean anything if we cannot beat the winner in game 1.

Let the dreamers dream! That's half the fun on these boards

Nazi?

Internet rule #123476

When you have started a thread that the majority of regular posters on a message board find absurd, drop Nazi into your response. It will either kill the thread as people run from being associated with the term Nazi, or it will become a flame war about the term Nazi and it's usage. <--- I just made all that stuff up. Please, no imagination Nazis

I guess none of the last nine games have been important. We've been in one and done mode for three weeks and I think we've performed very well. I like being excited and thinking my teams going to win and make the tourney. Beats the hell out of last years football season.
