Good one down in Puerto Rico. Rebs up 2 at half. Easy to discern who the two coaches got their big break as assistants under. This looks like a Cincinnati intrasquad game, circa 2003.

Is a healthy Ole Miss a dangerous team (read: Elite 8 sleeper) in March with the right draw?

They'd have to get an awfully favorable draw. They're not exceptional in the halfcourt on offense.

Duly noted. I think my respect for Andy Kennedy clouds my judgement when it comes to that team. Would love to see them make a run.

They're good. The game two days before Christmas in Morgantown will be a war.

Huge opportunity for Ole Miss tomorrow. A win over Villanova will put them squarely in the polls and put them in a position to get a decent seed come March.

I've been really impressed with their two big wins thus far. It's about time we have a team representing the SEC well in the non-conference.

Okay, I'll admit that I'm not a Vol fan, even though I have just joined the Vol Nation. I am simply tired of reading the ravings of my fellow Ole Miss fans, and you guys seem to know basketball -- and are not blinded by your passion for the Vols.

It's good to see someone (other than an Ole Miss blogger) recognize the Rebs as a strong team. Ole Miss will be formidable this year -- much stronger than they look on paper. The Rebs lose very little going even ten deep. They will wear most teams down by rotating players in throughout the game and staying fresh. Kansas State discovered this last night.

As young as the Rebels are, they stand a very good chance of beating Villanova tomorrow.

Before I am laughed out of the forum -- here's why:

All of the Rebels can run, jump, shoot, and rebound. Teams cannot just try to shut down Terrico White and Chris Warren because everyone on the team can score in bunches.

I disagree with an earlier post about weakness on halfcourt offense. As our guards who missed last season due to injury regain confidence in their newly healed injuries, that will improve. Chris Warren is looking nearly 100% already.

Our weakness thus far is interior defense -- but our freshman Reginald Buckner is learning fast and will be a force to be reckoned with by mid-season. He's already a shot-blocking machine; he just needs to learn more about position defense. He'll have some tough nights, but he's the real deal.

Kennedy knows his stuff and has his team playing in mid-season form already.

Shoot me down if you disagree, gentlemen.

Also, congratulations on the powerful team the Vols have put together this season. I look forward to the matchup with you during the holidays.
