I was just checking out the lines on the games coming up this week and I was going to see what the opinions were on why Ole Miss is just a 3 point favorite. Is it just because they are unproven? I personally just don't see South Carolina being that big of a challenge for them. Thoughts?....

they could easily lose that game. no way are they the #4 team in the country.

I like the 'Cocks to upset'em. One of three or four losses for the Rebs this year.

Not to mention, home teams are winning ESPN Thursday night games at a 75% clip.

Ole Miss is not the 4th best team in the country. They're not that good. I think they're better than South Carolina, but not by much. It wouldn't surprise me a bit to see them leave Columbia with a loss.

In order for SC to win Garcia has to be playing well. He has always been all over the place in the past.

Both Kiper and Mcshay picked SC to upset the rebels. Mentioned things such as SC playing at home, and lack of weapons at the reciever positions for Ole Miss, excluding that one kid that plays WR/RB/QB wherever else you want to put him.

I don't think Ole Miss is #4 in the country. I see them around maybe 10th or 12th.

I agree that I don't see Ole Miss as a top 5 team but I still can't see SC actually beating them. The only thing SC has going is they are at home and they typically have been lucky in Thursday night games. I am still going to stick with the pick I made on Ole Miss and hope for the best. I might be wrong but it won't be the first time and probably won't be the last. I appreciate everyone's opinions.

IMO, if they are a true top 5 team they won't be a problem for them...Not to say upsets don't happen but I will be surprised if Ole Miss goes down

it came down to SC's defense, not their offense. Garcia did well in not committing stupid turnovers, which has been his signature while at SC. Make no mistake about it, SC's defense (or Ole Miss total lack of offensive continuity) contributed most to this win, or loss. Depending on which side of the wagon you are on.
