A couple things:

1. They have the best offense I’ve seen this year. They actually look a lot like 2022 Vols.

2. Jaxson Dart has always been decent but he was not nearly this good his first two seasons. Reminds me that most QBs need 2-3 years to develop. I love Nico as much as anyone, but I feel like we need to manage our expectations for him. He’s played 2 games.

I want to see what they look like playing somebody with a pulse first. If they play a Tenn/Bama ‘22 type game I would agree.

Yeah. If someone bragging on Ole Miss could see me right now, I’d be giving them the “are you stupid?” stare. Let’s wait until they play against a top 50 team first.

You can wait as long as you’d like. I like having opinions in the present.

Then you’ll appreciate my opinion.

Lane Kiffing was a failure in the PAC 12 with their premier team. He had a losing record at TN, directly following our second greatest coach ever. He ran TN into the ground.

Most of Ole Miss’s team couldn’t hack it at their original school of choice which is why they ended up playing for Mr. Second Chance, Lane Kiffin.

Ole Miss isn’t going to be worth a damn at the end of the season because they don’t have to strain during the regular season. They’re running up the score on cupcakes because it impresses people who don’t know anything about college football.

Well he’s technically played 3. Or started 6 quarters.

Fun fact though. In those six quarters we’ve outscored em 80-3

You still think they have the best offense?

No disrespect intended toward the Vols. I have Tennessee winning the natty, but yes I’d give a slight edge to OM’s offense. We have a better RB group and comparable OLs. Think their WRs and QB are playing at a higher level. Both offenses very, very similar tho.

Mike Matthews looked like he could have something to say about that WR argument today. He may be our most complete WR by the end of the season.

Like us, Ole miss plays well as long as they can run their tempo offense and keep everything in rythm. But the difference with Heupel and Kiffin, is that Tennessee has developed and built both lines to compete with anyone in the trenches. Kiffin's teams get exposed when they play teams who are built well upfront. He has tried to buy players, which may work against a majority of their schedule. But I still don't see them good enough in the trenches to beat the big boys.

To me TX looks like the best team right now.

If I ranked the Top 13 right now Id go Texas, Georgia, Bama, Ole Miss, us, Oregon, Miami, Missouri, Penn State, USC, Utah, Kansas St, OU.

Ohio State made a deliberate effort to schedule weakly with no P5 nonconference games.Id wait until they play someone with a pulse before they get ranked.

I would put us above Ole Miss.

Definitely have potential and the schedule for a playoff appearance. I don’t know about them against lsu or uga. Would be fun to see them play Bama in playoffs.
