On a positive note

Defense plays lights out!
Who would have guessed that the offense would be the side of the ball that is killing me?
Here’s hoping for a complete game against Bama.
Go Vols!
The run game is good also , it's just the passing game and lack of creative play calling . On the rare occasion when the OL gives Nico a clean pocket and we happen to have a receiver get separation, Nico seems to be a second or two late delivering the ball .

I don't think that's gonna happen, but Bama looks a bit flawed also.

Definitely part play calling. It's either basic jr high run up the middle on second and long or we throw low percentage bombs.

No one would accuse the OL of being good at this point, but putting up the rushing numbers they have is amazing. Having Sampson helps too. Gotta wonder what it's look like if they were actually good.

Nico is just off. He needs a second. The OL can't give him the time, and he can't take advantage of it when he gets it. He missed SEVERAL opportunities today, all on him. He's just long, short, late, tipped, high, behind or too far in front. I literally saw all of that today, some more than once.

We have a 1 game win streak , against one of our most hated rivals and we have won 2 out of the last 3 against them .
The last couple games have not been pretty , but we are still in the thick of the first ever 12 team CFP
Another positive note, which the SEC can thank us for, is we gave UF a reason not to fire their coach. Nice OT loss to top 10 team keeps them just good enough. WELL DONE !

Defense played great.
They were on the field a lot. Lost Pilli fairly early and the LBs all stepped up.
We finally have DBs making plays and contesting routes.

Offensively it was ugly but they made the plays they had to make to get it tied up and to win in OT.
Heard at LT either is playing hurt with that ankle or he is just terrible. Not sure which.

Nico is clearly struggling and I think a lot of that is due to the constant pressure. When he gets a second and someone is actually open he seems to be rushing it and missing throws he can easily make.

Still don’t like the playcalling. We did a little better moving the pocket but still very conservative and predictable.

At this point we will take a win any way we can get it and we beat Florida.
We don’t look like a top 10 team by any means but neither does Bama.

Glad we are at home next week.

We all seem to agree the OL is not giving Nico time, the OL is not good as other years, so why keep running the ball up the middle when 90k fans in the stands know what your going to do ? Isn't there offensive strategy to combat a poor OL ? Coach needs to play to his qb/OL strength and weakness

I feel this because of Nico. Nico has a long way to go.

Right now that would mean calling off the game! There is no strength there!

Call me crazy but I thought play calling was much improved. The constant cuddling of Nico wasn't there like before. They was throwing backed up instead of run up middle. More wide run plays as well.

Napier is an interesting character. His teams definitely play bone head at times but he seems to have a few games every year where he looks like a genius.
