well, had we have somehow beaten FL, we'd be ranked #2 right now.
I think we are good enough to go toe-to-toe with nearly any team in the nation. cept for Ohio State. The Buckeyes are too good this year to be beaten, IMO.

with 6 to go, nothing's off the table; however, some scenarios are more unlikely than others. What the Georgia game gave to me is true confirmation that the current coaching tandem has given this team genuine confidence, as much as anyone could. I'm looking at every remaining game as winnable now - of course, it goes without saying that nothing is promised, but I do NOT see this team imploding or being dominated by ANYONE at this point. Take our current talent and add the confidence they now have, and we are easily a top 5 team, IMO.

They certainly proved that when they played their one decent opponent so far.

seems like many, many were saying the same thing about a certain team from southern California all last season. Point? No team is invincable so long as it's still comprised of human beings; a given game can provide an atmosphere in which ANY team can go down. Not to mention, history is working against the Buckeyes. Only one team has ever gone wire to wire with a no. 1 ranking in the AP poll in the 55 seasons since its inception. By the way, can anyone name that team? No Googling, please. (Jeapordy theme plays in background) :)

I think we are the best one loss team in the country by far. We are definately better than Louisville or WVU. But the records are what they are and until some of those unbeatens fall, we are stuck. But what really matters is where we are sitting at the end of the year.

Dude, Florida beat us heads up and they are undefeated. They should definitely be ranked ahead of us.

also on css the baldhead said. Georgia was bad and no way UT was that good.

but I agree, one or 2 spots behind flordia at least. I think you need to beat a top 10 to get into the club. I'm sick of the va techs that play no one, get ranked then get stomped when they play a team that has at least seen a football.

plus I despise va tech

You know it! Part of my raising in North Florida included the collection of random FSU knowledge like the fact that they produced Fred Belitnikoff, and that Burt Reynolds is the only person other than Osceola to have planted the spear at kickoff.
