As an opera major, I must say that you all carried the tune with perfect pitch!

Well, they do, but I didn't go there. The program is not that good. I went to the North Carolina School of the Arts and spent some time at Indiana and Colorado.

what exactly does a major in Opera consist of...other then the obvious of Opera stuff...

i'm not trying to flame, just curious, I've never heard of this major before.

Well, a lot of vocal training, music history classes, music theory classes, ear training classes, among some other strange classes such as combat training and such. I had to take take a lot of general studies classes too. I would have classes from about 7 to 3:30 then rehearsals and such from about 4:30 to 10:30, then would have to come home and do about 3 hours of homework and music prep. Then get up and do it again. It was kind of stressful. But I still found time to make the trek to Knoxville and support my Vols.

cool...

so, what are you going to do with your degree when you are done?? (or are you done?)

Well, I am done and I have been for about 3 years. Unfortunately, my teachers at the schools that I attended were not very good as it turns out. So I have been training under a teacher who knows what he is doing. That in and of itself is a task to learn a new technique on top of an old one. I have had a couple of personal setbacks as well. So this is the first year that I am going to get out on the audition trail.

"9 str8 1st downs on a 99 yrd drive to take the lead" ?????
